We’ll do this until Wednesday, 20 May. Then I’ll write a post and everybody will share his list of bizarre, unconventional, creative ways to use a tea cup.

18. if you break the cup/plate, you now have pieces of a puzzle

21. you can keep earrings/rings in the t-cup
22. you can keep keys in the t-cup
23. you can make jelly in the t-cup
24. you can use the t-cup to make sandcastles at the beach
25. you can use plate to draw a cicle on a piece of paper
26. plate/cup can be used as a paper weight
27. you can use the cup to spit in
28. you can use the cup/plate to paint on
29. you can use them props in a play
30. you can trade the t-set for something else!

I must admit that I have on my list some of your ideas so I’ll have to find new ones to get to a complete list of 30

use the cup to select a small quantity of bulk food
2) ashtray
3) catch an insect / mouse
4) use it to beg for money
5) store pills
6) store your denture
7) store soap (soap dish)
9) use a small teacup as spoon to eat soup from a bigger plate
10)pick berries in the cup
Cooking
11) use the cup to cut round pieces of dough
12) use the cup/the plate to give a shape to dough
13) use the cup as bowl for candies, peanuts, etc
14) bake crèmes and cookies in it (I think it works)
15) serve ice cream, fruit salads,puddings, etc
And now I go wild:
16) Teacup with a quote /nice message on the bottom. You’ll be able to read it after you finish drinking the tea
17) Restaurant where people eat and drink only from teacups :p
18) Blank teacups that you can personalize with tempera or markers, and offer them with tea to your work colleagues. You can write something like: “Thanks for your help”
19) Personalized teacups for gifts
20) Advertising in a teacup
I wrote less than 30 ideas because some of them have already been mentioned by Yasmine.
So, who’s next?
You don’t have to come up with 30 ideas as it’s more difficult now.

Oki, after a good night sleep, here goes my list:
(some of the ideas may be repeats, as I have put them on top of my mind without closely checking the other 2 lists)
1. Make a Kid’s Castel
2. Decorate the walls of a house: brake the tea cups in pieces and use them to stick on the walls
3. Sun protection- put the tea cup on your head when it is really sunny outside
4. Weapon of mass distruction- just imagine throwing 1 million tea cups from a plane; it would create massive damage!
5. To give as present
6. As a replacement for knife: brake the tea cup and use the splinters
7. To look interesting: you could walk with a Colourful, Big, Empty tea cup on the street. You would certainly draw attention!
8. Go and rob a bank- hide the tea cup in your pocket, say you have a bomb and threaten to blow the whole place up!
9. play football- it would be the shortest game, but anyways
10. make sand houses
11. trap bugs that you may have in the house
12. kill mosquitos- it would get really messy!
13. beat an omlette egg in it
14. put it on top of paper so that it doesn’t get blown in the wind
15. exchange it for something else
16. Dig into sand
17. Put a mirror at the bottom of it and sell it as a unique tea cup mirror
18. make a tea cup throwing contest: who throws the tea cup furthest away
19. start another Tea Cup Cult (it seems there used to be one in Malaysia)
20. Put some petrol in it and use it as a torch
21. Start a collection of tea cups
22. Use it as a shoe for your little kid
23. Give it to your kid and see what he does with it- he will for sure find some new ways to use it+ he will be kept busy for a while
24. Emotionally threaten your girlfriend/boyfriend that if she/he doesn’t do what you say, you will swallow the tea cup (it may work, who knows?)
25. store your vitamin C in it
26. Paint on it
27. Brake a world record of holding a tea cup for the longest time
28. Drink water with it (woooaw, that’s a new one!?)
29. Put a flower in it
30. Put it on top of your toilet- it will definitely give something to think about to all the people who “drop by”

2. Listen to neighbors by putting it against the wall and your ear next to it.
3. Make music.
4. Make a marriage proposal by placing the ring under the cup.
5. Pace it in front of you while you’re playing an instrument in a public place. Money will start pouring into it.
6. Bake extra large, tea cup sized muffins.
7. Teach children to draw circles.
8. Grow a flower in it.
9. Play mini golf in your apartment.
10. Shape your haircut with it.
11. Signal for SOS by letting the sun reflect in it.
12. Make it your subject for a still art masterpiece.
13. Make a hole in it and prank friends.
14. Make noise with it to invite people to lunch.
15. Make people laugh by placing it on your face.
16. Brake it and use the splinters as a guitar pick
17. Use the splinters to practice your nearly-pro shuriken throwing skills.
18. Fill it with tears. Someone might get touched or freaked-out.
19. Fill it with grains and take photos of birds dropping in to eat.
20. Keep dimes in it for quick use.
21. Go to an Italian café and feel superior by drawing attention to the size of your cup. Watch out for those laté drinkers as they might get competitive on you.
22. Radu “8. Go and rob a bank- hide the tea cup in your pocket..” Keep in in your pocket, go to a night-club and look aroused. Start throwing away all that money and be the center of attention…
oh sorry i’m late, and i can only think of a few more to add to the mighty collection amassed
1) draw venn diagrams!
a present! especially those personalised ones
can paint something nice on it and give it away
2) hold paper clips
3) a mini trash bin (especially after finishing the drink :P)
4) cover sensitive body parts when naked (not that i’ve ever tried it before)
5) draw the sun (its like where the sun is at the corner of the paper)
6) the water vessel to dip paint brushes in when painting
7) a weapon!
9) to breathe steam - like when someone’s gotta cold, put hot water in the teacup and breathe in the steam which will ease the stuffed nose
10) ok i’m stuck… to play “see who gets it in” like when you’re really bored, you can stand from a distance and try to throw something in the cup. very good ice-breaker i’d think

…number 18, yes… here I am sucking on a lemon and reminiscing the moment when this happened… the torch-red sunset on the seashore, a blanket thrown negligently and some leftovers of wine and cliché avec maux d’estomac… the wind murmuring through the pages of a Linda Howard novel lying some feet away… and then number 18 happened…
